Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) has been implementing the Improved relations between Rohingya Refugees and Host Communities by joint protection of the shared environment with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox’s Bazar funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), coordinated by Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
∎ The project aims to work with Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) and Host Communities in Camps 24, 25 and 27, as well as Leda, Alikhali, and Jadimura of Teknaf Upazila through increased social cohesion and safety. The project will set up a community-based protection mechanism for increased awareness of protection problems and improved access to protection services. Furthermore, the project will support FDMNs and Host Community members in assessing the risk in their immediate surroundings and in developing mitigation strategies. The project team will have to work in a very sensitive context in which the project should not lead to further conflicts between the different groups and in which the “Do-No-Harm” principle is essential. Moreover, the team will have to work closely with responsible duty bearers in the area to make sure that the structures created within the project are agreed upon by all actors and thus, can have a lasting impact.
∎ The duration of the project is 30 November 2023 and the job is contractual for the project period with a 3 months period of probation. The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Camps/Union at Nhila/ Baharchara Union of Teknaf, with substantial field activities at different camps and host community at Teknaf.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Officers will be overall responsible for the implementation of the project activities in their respective areas and effective delivery of the training and awareness-raising events related to community protection and DRR
∎ Duties and areas of responsibility
∎ Act as the Focal for camps/ unions for the project.
∎ Conduct awareness sessions on nutrition including theater shows, courtyard meetings, debates,s and other events for the beneficiaries
∎ Supervise volunteers, community protection facilitators, risk mapping volunteers, and theatre groups in their respective camp/unions
∎ Implement the project activities in their respective area.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and difficult environment
∎ Practical, quick, reasoning skills; must be able to communicate with all parties of the project
∎ Demonstrated ability for people management
∎ A team player; committed to motivating and leading staff
∎ A clear understanding of the working of major donors and their perspective, requirements, and standard
∎ Able to work and manage in a hardship post and willing to frequently travel in and out of the field
∎ Excellent language skills in English and Bangla
∎ Prior experience of working in the greater Chittagong Division and knowledge.
∎ Understanding of local culture.
∎ Good behavior with the coworkers
∎ Should not be involved in any illegal behavior, such as theft, illegal drug use, intoxication, or violence, which are grounds for immediate termination.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 28500 - 31350 (Monthly)
∎ Staff Welfare Find(10% of the basic pay)
