• About 5-10 years of experience in the field of agribusiness and agriculture with various capacities and involvements.
• The applicants should have experience in the following project area(s):
• Expertise in knowledge to new rice variety, Seed Production, processing, Marketing and inventory management.
• Experience in the Climate Smart-Rice Value Chain in the Haor Region Activity

Safety, Security, and Safeguarding

As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support FIVDB’s safety and security-related policies and systems in their day-to-day duties and always comply with safety and security protocols and directives, including reporting. The instructor must maintain situational and self–awareness and be aware of the safety and security-related consequences of his/her actions on him/herselves, in the institute and the organization.

Job Context:

• Duration of the FIVDB - Climate Smart-Rice Value Chain in the Haor Region (CS-RVC) Project is from October 2024 to December 2026.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formation & Functioning of Farmers Groups, Modern Agricultural Machineries Management Committee and Crop Clinic.

• Conduct survey to select the HH to the guideline.

• Develop work plan and submit to the Supervisor and ensure its implementation.

• Successfully complete the training schedule and lesson learning session.

• Organize and facilitate training and Monthly Meeting

• Provide input support to the Farmers.

• Time to time share new agricultural Rice Crop technology

• Ensure timely submission of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports to the supervisor.

• Documentation and Reporting.

• Work with Implementation Demonstration, Crop Cafeteria, Crop Clinic, AWD and training to farmers

• Act as liaison with respective public (BRRI, DAE, SCA, and different research institutes)

• Conduct/monitor dealer demonstration at the field with proper data collection and documentation;

• Conduct the crop cut program as per IRRI protocol with the presence of UAO/ breeder from BRRI or universities and local SAAO;

• Arrange or create women farmers` pool who are already working associated with male farmer at their rice farm;

• Crop Cutting (Seeding date, Transplanting date, Days to 50% flowering, Days to 80% maturity)

• Average no of effective tillers, Average no of grains per panicle, Grain yield (kg) 50 sqm, Moisture content (%)

• To check the usefulness of modern varieties of paddy in different regions of the country and collect information

• Liaison with the different stakeholders.

• Monitor and supervise the project activities.

• Monitor and evaluate the progress of LSP and develop entrepreneur.

• Communication and coordination with our internal sector of the organization.

• Any other work set by the authority of the Organization.

• Weekly 2 holidays,Mobile bill,T/A

• Other admissible benefits (Festival Bonus, Mobile allowance, etc.) as per the project`s budget.

• Salary and other admissible benefits (if any) are inclusive of all taxes as imposed by the government of Bangladesh. Taxes will be deducted at sources as per government rules.
