Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline preferably in social science. Academic qualifications could be relaxed for demonstrable good range of working experiences in the humanitarian response program
∎ Some range of experiences within a development organization in community mobilization and facilitation preferably in Rohingya Community

Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) has been implementing the Child Protection (CP) Project with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Response Program, Cox’s Bazar in partnership with of Save the Children International (SCI) and funded by UNHCR since October, 2020. The project is anticipated to be extended for next one (1) year (January to December 2021). based at the Field Office at different Rohingya camps and host community at Teknaf and Ukhia (aligned with Gilatoli Filed Office at Teknaf). In fact, its contractual position.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is primarily responsible for implementation of child protection community based activities as part of the Rohingya response, in particular for vulnerable and at-risk children. The Field Officer is responsible for arranging CBCPC meeting, Adolescent club/ Child club/ parents meeting, ensuring referral for children, and direct service provision of follow up for vulnerable and at-risk children, in line with their needs.
∎ The Field Officer is responsible for documenting information, capacity building of the parents and other stakeholder, supporting the child/family through ensuring child protection, ensuring data protection in line with internal protocols, and for providing daily updates to the supervisor and preparing regular reports. The Jobholder is reportable to Project Officer/Program Officer.
∎ Organize parents group. Establish effective communication with parents and hold regular parent meetings.
∎ Assisting the member of child/ Adolescent club members in their overall activities, including forming, organizing regular meetings and implementing decisions taken in the meeting.
∎ Support to organize regular meetings and implements of child protection committees at the local level.
∎ Coordinate parents' groups, child clubs and child protection committees to establish relation with the Child Friendly Center (CFS).
∎ Conduct awareness sessions, training plans and training for parent groups, child clubs and child protection committees.
∎ Referring children and their family members to various service providing organizations to get required services and establish relationships with the caregivers.
∎ Support to develop service mapping and update the map regularly with updates of service providers/ organizations.
∎ Support Project Officer - CP to maintain regular communication and good relation with the camp in-charge/ representatives, mazzis and other stakeholders to facilitate implementation of project activities and create child protection ring-fence at the local level.
∎ Community Based Child Protection
∎ Support community based mechanisms, including selection, training and mentoring of committee members, as required, in collaboration with the responsible Child Protection Officer.
∎ Keep close communication with the CBCPC bodies.
∎ Support community awareness sessions on child protection concerns, identification of vulnerable children and the process of referring the separated/unaccompanied children including family tracing.
∎ Maintain effective communication with parents and conduct regular home visits for the wellbeing of the children
∎ Collect and manage various opinions, suggestions and complaints submitted in the opinion box. Support CP officer address and resolve the concerns.
∎ Administration, Documentation and Reports:
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on different child protection issue and events. Prepare, deliver and store reports daily, weekly, monthly and as needed.
∎ Update and maintain all regular work documents and registers. Support the CP volunteers to keep reports and maintain documentation of CFS and MPCAC.
∎ Adhere to strict confidentiality and information management standards and protocols, sharing information only in compliance with these standards
∎ Support and participate in program monitoring and evaluation activities as requested.
∎ Prepare work plans/ schedules in coordination with Project Officer - CP for implementation of CP activities and pro-actively implement activities as per plan.
∎ Assist the project officer with necessary information.
∎ Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations in Bangladesh, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Has to be willing to take challenge of working in a participatory approach for Rohingya Community/ Host Community
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
∎ Understanding of local cultural language
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Familiar with MS-word, Excel, Power point and internet

Salary:
∎ Tk. 25000 - 28082 (Monthly)
∎ TK. Up to 28,082.00 (Monthly) (fixed; taxes payable to be deducted)
