Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with camp actors and camp communities to promote and implement routine camp maintenance, considering distribution points as well.
∎ Monitor safety risks (infrastructure of the camp), addressing the risk to the competent agency.
∎ Design and implement service provision monitoring based on Protection mainstreaming and mitigation of Gender Based Violence risks.
∎ Undertake site risk reduction and maintenance repair and coordination activities.
∎ Provide technical supervision to community mobilization officers in mobilization activities related to FDMNs/ Host Community.
∎ Assist in preparing and updating service mapping report.
∎ Participation in camp coordination meeting.
∎ Support relocation in coordination with Government and Field Unit focal.
∎ Ensure on time committee survey and reports.
∎ Support refugees to maintain, repair, modify and improve their shelters through materials, construction teams and training.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in Monitoring, preferably in site management support in emergencies with local NGO/ UN/ INGO.
∎ Commitment to and understanding of BRAC core values and principles.
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organisation.
∎ Willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field.
∎ Have excellent knowledge on MS Office.
∎ Have excellent report writing capacity.
∎ Excellent language skills both in English and Bengali, as well as chittagonian language.
