Implementation & Management of Field Level Activities-70%

1. Supervise construction work of FSTP, Water Network, and Sanitation construction work
2. Responsible for field construction activities such as WaSH infrastructures (Sem Deep Tube wells, Sanitary Latrines, Hygiene Promotion etc.)
3. Ensure project activity according to drawing & design
4. Effectively manage Fecal sludge and solid waste in the camp
5. To implement project activity according to technical specifications.
6. Identity feasible sites for WASH facilities.
7. Prepare different IEC materials related to construction work
8. Prepare effective work plan for subordinates, volunteers and casual labour
9. Conduct technical and environmental surveys (pre-survey, post-survey etc) as per project requirements.
10. Prepare bills & check the bill vouchers.
11. Conduct water quality tests of selected parameters using field kits.
12. Facilitate caretaker training, user group training, majhi & CBC training.
13. Provide technical support to manage plastic waste recycling plants and solid waste management.
14. Prepare & follow the hardware monitoring checklist.
15. Ensure quality construction according to drawing, design and guidelines.
16. Supervise construction activities at the beneficiary level.
17. Check work orders and specifications to ensure good quality materials reception,
18. Conduct water quality tests periodically in the Bhasan char responsible area.
19. Follow WASH sector guidelines and WHO standards to serve water to community people.
20. Supervise and monitor each stage of the activities.
21. Ensure that standards and instructions are given by the line manager and Islamic Relief Bangladesh procedures.

Advocacy, Networking and Communication - 15%

1. Assist in organizing inception meetings at different levels.
2. To Participate in various coordination meetings such as WASH & WASH sector meetings, CiC coordination meetings.
3. Organize various working relationship-building orientations, and training.
4. Linkages with government officials, DPHE, CIC, CMO, UN agencies and NGOs.
5. Ensure the NOC after the selection of the scheme with relevant stakeholders.
6. Involve project implementation teams in the implementation of the project
7. Communication and collaboration with SMSD, CMO, focal agencies
8. Strengthen existing community groups & networks
9. Reporting and Documentation- 10%
10. Ensure accurate record keeping and systematic documentation & filing;
11. Provide information for monthly, interim and final reports;
12. Provide the necessary documents to WASH focal points, agencies etc.
13. Collect case stories from field;
14. Document lesson learnings;
15. Maintain proper process documentation - event reports, success stories, education reports, etc

Others- 5%

1. Responsible for following the compliance of IR policies and other relevant sector codes of good practices including administrative, health, safety and security policies and frameworks project implementation area.
2. Regularly review the existing guideline and adding new ones as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation or where desirable as good practice.
3. Responsible for seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
4. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor
