Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering in Civil Engineering, Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Civil Engineering

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure Beneficiary selection according to the IR Principle and guideline-15%
∎ Conduct FGD with different stockholders and communities.
∎ Assess emergencies and work closely with the local community.
∎ Prepare and share information on inter-sectorial emergency preparedness and response activities.
∎ Implement the project following the set working plan
∎ Conduct door-to-door survey to finalize beneficiary.
∎ Supervise the beneficiary’s identification as per fixed selection criteria and by the methodology fixed by IR/ Consortium.
∎ Finalize the beneficiary by ensuring endorsement and validation from relevant authorities.
∎ Conduct small-scale risk mitigation activities within the camp and host community as needed.
∎ Project intervention monitoring-25%
∎ Supervise construction activities at the beneficiary level.
∎ Prepare business plan at the community level and execute it as per the proposal and organizational guidelines.
∎ Supervise and monitor each stage of the activities. Ensure that standards and instructions are given by the line manager, as well as Islamic Relief Bangladesh procedures,
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities & inform the Project Coordinator.
∎ Connect with and engage individuals and groups relevant to the scope of the project work, maintain a directory of local-level stakeholders, and connect to the mapped activities complementing to the other development activities been carried away by UN agencies.
∎ Respond and adjust to flexible activity scheduling, logistical constraints related to the social dynamics in Cox’s Bazar involving the community and its expectations
∎ Support Project Coordinator to conduct a different workshop (lesson learn, inception, exit meeting, etc.)
∎ Mobilize the community According to the Project Need/ Constructive and Rehabilitation Works-30%
∎ Conduct hygiene sessions in connection with project objectives and goals.
∎ Prepare different IEC material related to Hygiene and construction work.
∎ Prepare design & BOQ of WASH Facilities.
∎ Responsible for the field construction activities such as WaSH infrastructures (Semi-Deep Tube wells, Sanitary Latrines, Hygiene Promotion, etc.).
∎ Identify feasible site for WASH facilities
∎ Facilitate caretaker training
∎ Conduct water quality tests of selected parameters using field kits.
∎ Prepare bills & check the bills vouchers.
∎ Conduct Technical and environmental surveys (pre-survey, post-survey, etc) as per project requirement.
∎ Do effective and appropriate networking and coordination with different stakeholders.-15%
∎ Support to organized inception meetings at a different level.
∎ Formulation of the project implementation committee.
∎ Ensure the NOC after selection of scheme with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Select schemes for small-scale mitigations in consultation with communities and LGIs and support to implement.
∎ Ensuring maintenance of effective coordination and communication with UNO, LGI's, CiC, clusters, line departments, and other stakeholders in advance by sharing detailed plans.
∎ Ensuring the participation of GoB and another relevant committee (s) within the project areas that could contribute to bringing effective results at the project level.
∎ Liaison with Other sectors, Imam, Majhis, and other religious leaders in both FDMN and Host Community.
∎ Involve UDMC & other Project implementation teams for implementation of the project
∎ Coordination & networking with stakeholders

∎ Project reporting and documentation-5%
∎ Prepare and submit planning of the weekly activities to the line manager.
∎ Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions.
∎ Support for the Procurement of materials like requisition, quotation collection, etc.
∎ Functional the complaint response mechanism (CRM) and feedback system-5%
∎ Ensure CRM process at all stages of the project.
∎ Maintain continuous orientation of staffs on CRM process Ensure complain log and register at project office level
∎ Ensure the visibility of the project in different stage and level
∎ Other Requirement-5%
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendation of visitors is addressed.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Responsible for seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with Small scale construction work, CFW work, WASH, Recovery, and Rehabilitation of work, Humanitarian Response, FDMN Rohingya and Host Community as well as Emergency Response,
∎ Must have expertise in Local language (Rohingya & Chittagong)
