∎ Job Location: Any Union/village of Moulvibazar District.
∎ Suchana: Ending the Cycle of Malnutrition in Bangladesh project is led by Save the Children with the support of DFID and the EU. The Field Facilitator (FF) will be based at union level and will be in-charge for implementation of all Suchana interventions in his/her assigned areas, usually for 500 to 600 BHHs in a cluster of 3-5 villages. The FF will work closely and jointly (40% of his/her time) with 2-3 Suchana Community Mobilisers in implementing the activities in the assigned areas.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate BHHs training on Aquaculture, Horticulture, Poultry, IGAs; VMF and Aquaculture demonstration.
∎ Conduct coaching session/refresher training on HFP- horticulture, poultry and aquaculture.
∎ Maintain regular follow up of "Participatory Farmer's Trial/Demonstration (PFT)" and VMF.
∎ Organize vaccination training and campaign for poultry and small livestock.
∎ Assist in conducting life skills training through peer/cascading model.
∎ Assist in conducting financial literacy training for IGA beneficiaries.
∎ Organize "Linkage Events" for sharing the results and experience of the PFT in the community including participating beneficiaries and local stakeholders/market actors.
∎ Organize pot songs/palagan/community theatre at the union level for nutrition awareness.
∎ Facilitate Rapid Marker Assessment (RMA), Bigger Picture, Production, Sales; and Planning (PSPM) and Business Planning and Wards meeting for IGAs assignment.
∎ Conduct training for vendors/merchants on product specifications and procedures of supplying quality assets/inputs.
∎ Distribute HFP and IGA input (poultry, seeds, feeds, fingerlings etc.). ? Facilitate quarterly meeting with local level market actors ? Assist in conducting savings group meeting.
∎ Work with adolescents and empower them to become advocates/champions for nutrition. ? Build capacity of UP bodies and UP Standing Committees.
∎ Build capacity of Suchana Community Mobilizer (SCMs) through regular field visit, on job mentoring and supportive supervision.
∎ Support in the intervention contributing to gender and nutrition integration.
∎ Together with SCM, identify 1000 days BHHs and formation of Mother & Children group.
∎ Together with SCM, facilitate courtyard session on nutrition, notably cooking demonstrations.
∎ Build capacity of community groups and community support groups of the Community Clinic.
∎ Conduct orientation on nutrition for religious leaders and community Influential.
∎ Support SCM in mobilizing the community, especially the mothers for growth monitoring and promotion session at community clinic/EPI centers.
∎ Any other tasks as assigned by respective management
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one-year experience in community-based health/nutrition and or development project activities. Can be relaxed for candidates having excellent academic background.
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
∎ Understanding of local cultural languages.
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level
∎ Should have basic orientation in using Tab/Smart Phone
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Willingness and ability to drive bi-cycle to undertake extensive travel in the field as and when required
Salary: Tk. 15500 (Monthly)
