BRAC is implementing the UN Women supported Gender Responsive Disaster Risk Reduction in Bangladesh (GRDRRIB) Project in Kurigram, Jamalpur, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Cumilla, Noakhali, Feni, Bhola, Chattogram, Sirajganj, Khulna, Satkhira districts. Field Facilitator will Implement project activities level with a coordinated way with BRAC’s internal programme, local government and other relevant stakeholders at filed level.

Responsibilities:

  • Support to conduct multistakeholder consultation workshop and divisional and district level
  • Support to collection of SADDD by MoDMR at district and upazila level
  • Support to organize capacity building training of GiHA chapters at district level
  • Prepare and aware LGI, community and relevant stakeholders on Forecast Based Early Action (FBA) and union and upazila level
  • Coordinate with government, UDMC, UzDMC & DDMC for all humanitarian activities
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with relevant government department/ local govt. institutions at division, district and Upazila level; NGOs, CSOs, relevant BRAC’s Programme and other stakeholders as per requirement.
  • Represent BRAC in different meetings, workshop, dialogue at divisional, district and upazila level
  • Conduct damage and need assessment with the support of DDMT and UDMT to response quickly during disaster and any emergencies as procedure/guideline and SOP.
  • Organize and facilitate training, workshop at district, upazila and union level
  • Prepare disaster Situation Report and other relevant reports during and after any disaster and provide support to ensure these kinds of reports from affected areas
  • Work closely with BRAC District Coordinators (BDCs) for smooth programme implementation
  • Contribute to financial operations, purchasing, accounting and office supplies.
  • Ensure timely and efficient implementation of project interventions.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the management.
  • Must hold the BRAC’s values and humanitarian code of conduct.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
