Job Context:
∎ DASCOH Foundation intends to contribute to an improved health status, with special focus on maternal, neonatal and child health, primarily in Rajshahi division by the project of Public Health Improvement Initiative in Rajshahi (PHIIR)-Phase III . To achieve the goal, DG Health, DG Family Planning, CBHC, DASCOH Foundation and the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) commit themselves to support each other in implementing health system strengthening in Community Clinics (CC), Union Health and Family Welfare Centre (UH&FWC), Union Sub Center (USC) and Upazila Health complex.
∎ The Field Facilitator (FF) will be responsible to support and build capacity of Management Committee of Community Clinic (CG) and UH&FWC. S/he also manages UH&FWC, Community Clinics to deliver basic health services and 24/7 delivery at UH&FWC by mobilizing community and coordination with govt. health & family planning personnel. Furthermore, the FF will support to enhance Resource Pool members to increase knowledge and practices on MNCH issues, and will closely work in the community with the pool of community resource persons responsible for community mobilization and their sensitization for the same. Build relationship with LGI and other GoB Health and FP Centers at Union level for proper functioning of CCs and UH&FWCs.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Capacity building of UH&FWC Management Committee and CG of CC
∎ Support HSPs to form/reform CG and UH&FWC management committee following guideline (Govt.).
∎ Support FMC (UH&FWC and CC) for local fund generation and secure transparent of financial management and utilization for MNCH issues
∎ Assist & facilitate HSPs to organize CG and UH&FWC management committee’s monthly/bi-monthly meeting.
∎ Support FWC Management Committee and CG to develop annual sustainability and DRR assessment, planning and execution.
∎ Assist health service providers, Resource Pool members to conduct health education session for awareness raising and follow up satellite sessions in the community level.
∎ Maintain liaison with UP, CC, UH&FWC and UHC for better functioning of the facility and establish quality referral mechanism.
∎ Support/organize half yearly CG-CSG coordination meeting at Community Clinic level
∎ Support to organize quarterly, union parishad and FMC meeting with Union Parishad & Upazila Parishad for progress sharing and fund mobilization in regular basis.
∎ Select and train Resource Pool (Community Volunteer) to promote health education on MNCH issues to the wider community with the support of the government health and family welfare staff.
∎ Guide and coach to Resource Pool members to work closely with CG to perform their roles and responsibilities as per CG guideline.
∎ Attend/organize health related Union/Upazila level different national and international day observation program and campaign.
∎ Maintain liaison with Union Parishad, Upazila Parishad, UH&FWC and CCs for better functioning and establishing referral mechanism.
∎ Implement the 5S-Kaizen-TQM methods at FWC & CC level and support to implement at all Facility level.
∎ Cooperate ( in need attend) different kinds of meeting at Union/Upazila level i.e. GO-NGO coordination with Health & FP fortnightly/monthly/quarterly meeting & sharing progress
∎ Support and facilitate different meetings, trainings/orientations and workshops
∎ To apply gender awareness tools, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) tools & social accountability tools and methodology in all aspects of project implementation activities.
∎ Support to conduct different baseline surveys/profile and assessments.
∎ Assist to prepare and review monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly action plan.
∎ Support in monitoring/progress report & operational plan implementation report as regular basis (monthly, quarterly, six monthly and yearly)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Sound background of minimum three years working experience in community mobilization.
∎ Working experience on health program in NGOs development agencies or government.
∎ Energetic and sound health.
∎ Fluency in both writing and speaking in Bangla and English.
∎ Willingness to live and work in the Upazila level, enthusiastic and positive outlook.
∎ Valid motorcycle driving license and willingness to ride motorcycle to work in a remote area.
∎ Well oriented in MS Office packages like Word, Excel
∎ Should have excellent team work, networking and communication
∎ Should have good physique, energetic
∎ Fund raising for community people for MNCH issues
Salary: Tk. 21200 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Tour allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ 2.25 festival bonus, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Travel Allowance, Health and Hospitalization Insurance and Leave Benefits will be entitled as per organizational policy.
