Responsibilities & Context: To monitor and ensure the safety and security of women beneficiaries and female staff in the field, supporting gender-sensitive project implementation, while promoting safeguarding policies and facilitating communication among relevant teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular monitoring with a focus on women’s safety and security measures; strictly verify all artisans and staff entering or leaving the site, and deny access if checks are not check out completed.
- Verify the implementation of gender-sensitive security protocols and promptly report any breaches or irregularities.
- Facilitate effective communication between female beneficiaries, female staff, and programme management to promptly address safety concerns.
- Actively support and promote safeguarding policies, particularly those related to women’s protection.
- Follow up on safeguarding incidents involving women and ensure thorough documentation and timely reporting according to established procedures.
- Coordinate closely with Production Centre and security teams to strengthen women’s security across project areas.
- Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions and awareness campaigns on women’s safety, rights, and protection.
- Maintain accurate records of all security checks and observations related to women’s safety.
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for women within all project locations.
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
