Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a Bangladeshi development organization has been working in the public health sector for last 32 years and currently implementing different projects in 21 districts. PHD intends to hire a competent Project Coordinator (PC) for Save the Children managed and BMZ funded "BDG Strengthening resilience and social cohesion of Rohingya and host communities in Cox`s Bazar through integrated social services and improved livelihoods" in Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox`s Bazar district.
∎ Job objective: To effective implementation of the planned project activities at Upazila, Union & Community level and provide day to day supervision, monitoring and guidance to the Union Facilitators and CHWs in achieving the project`s overall objectives and outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Area 1: Activities and Implementation of Program:
∎ Conduct consultative workshop/meeting/Session with Upazila level
∎ Mobilize local support of civil society, community leaders, religious leaders and other elite for quality project implementation
∎ Help project staffs and front line CHWs to identify and appropriate structures for community mobilization, mapping of resources, facilitating meetings to identify feasible mechanisms for dealing with maternal and child health, SRHR, and GBV related problems
∎ Establishing referral linkages and catalyzing community actions and monitoring systems
∎ Maintain liaison with the Upazila level GoB officials and other stakeholders
∎ Capacitate the UFs and CHWs on different thematic areas and tools of data collection, preservation, and report preparation.
∎ Assist the UFs and CHWs with tools and techniques to conduct household visit, mapping, couple registration, counselling services, and referral service to the community people.
∎ Conduct street drama, folk songs, film show at Community level under the Upazila by engaging interactive theatre group and relevant actors to mobilize the community people on SRHR and GBV.
∎ Prepare and submission of periodical reports
∎ Any other assignment given by the PHD Management
∎ Key Area 2: Supervision & Monitoring:
∎ Supervise and Monitor the Union Facilitators (UFs), and Community Health Workers (CHWs) as well as project activities and provide necessary feedback to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
∎ Day-to-day supervision of field activities and provide mentoring support and on-spot monitoring support to CHWs
∎ Key Area 3: Technical Program Management and Quality Assurance:
∎ Provide technical support and oversight to Community Health components of the health program
∎ Participate in the development of sound monitoring tools; review, analyze and interpret results and coordination with other routine program data to inform decision making and course correction.
∎ Manage and provide technical Oversight for all CH related training including, leading roll out of all new and maintain good coordination/ collaboration with Govt and other stakeholders, adapting of technical training materials, job aids and IEC/BCC materials for the CHWs and training schedules for CHWs.
∎ In coordination with M&E officer to develop and or revise data collection,
∎ monitoring, evaluation, and reporting tools as necessary and according to needs
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 60 years
∎ Good interpersonal skills and working in diverse teams.
∎ Ability to train and mentor co-workers.
∎ Good speaking and writing skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to work in demanding situation
Salary: Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
