Educational Requirements:
∎ Paramedical or social science degree
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage a large team of Health Promotion Supervisors and community-based health educators (health promotion, surveillance & cultural mediators/liaisons)
∎ Analysis and application of the context (local culture, traditions, habits, health perception) to support the social mapping (key stakeholders) and adapt effective health messages
∎ Maintain a good relationship with community based actors (traditional leaders, respected persons, religious leaders, power brokers, relevant social groups, camp coordination and health sector) contributing to increasing community engagement following community engagement strategy.
∎ Support and build the community's capacity to address their own health and other needs through community participation to create a sense of ownership and capacity to prevent disease
∎ Facilitate focus group discussions with target groups, to understand health seeking behaviour, barriers to access, and MSF perception within the community while ensuring relevance of health promotion materials
∎ Participate in defining, adapting outreach strategy during annual planning
∎ Support epidemiology surveillance activities and reporting in the camp and organize medical/outreach team involvement whenever an alert is reported (verification of alert, verbal autopsy)
∎ Plan and organize outreach team activities ensuring smooth operation in responsible geo-zone
∎ Work in close cooperation with the other project teams: medical, vaccination, cultural, humanitarian affairs, mental health, epidemiology, and WatSan who also have community-based outreach activities
∎ Collaboration with Health Promotion Managers of other MSF sections
∎ Support Health Promotion Supervisors to identify training needs of team members, organize and conduct trainings, and seek technical input from colleagues from relevant medical department
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience: Essential management experience in related jobs (health promotion, community engagement, medical outreach), preferably with MSF or another NGO in a refugee context
∎ Languages: English, Bangla and Chittagonian are essential; Rohingya language highly desirable
∎ Knowledge: Computer literacy, qualitative research, stakeholder engagement, program planning

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary according to level ten (10) of the internal MSF salary grid. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.
