• 5-7 years’ relevant work experience in Design & Development on outerwear (jackets)

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work and successful collections

• Exceptional creativity, imagination, and artistic flair

• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD

• Good knowledge in costing and knowing the current yarn prices in the market

• Should have excellent understanding of technical / production process

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team

• Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection

• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

• IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

• Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently

• Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines

Job Context

• The Fashion Designer will be accountable for leading the creative and technical aspects of fashion design, overseeing the development of collections from concept to final product. This role involves trend research, design creation, and team collaboration to ensure the brand’s vision is executed effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for seasonal collections, including conceptualizing themes, creating sketches, and selecting fabrics

• Stay updated on fashion trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to ensure designs are current and competitive

• Develop mood boards, color stories, and design concepts aligned with the brand’s vision

• Collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards

• Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, conducting fittings and making necessary adjustments

• Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality requirements

• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a creative work environment

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, and sales to align design goals with business objectives

• Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making revisions as needed

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to

• Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, including sketches, fabric swatches, and technical specifications

• Ensure all designs are aligned with the brand’s identity and meet target customer expectations

• Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques

• Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and other industry events to gather inspiration and stay informed on the latest developments in fashion
