Experience:
Candidate should be experienced in shoe manufacturing factory.
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of shoe production, from raw material planning and procurement through to finished goods. This role ensures efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, cost control, process optimization, and effective team leadership to meet production targets and company objectives.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Production planning and Execution:
Develop and implement production plans, and ensuring efficient scheduling
Manage daily production operations, including software entry for production quantities.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
2. Material & inventory Management:
Oversee material planning, sourcing, purchasing, and accurate software entry (BOM, raw materials, master data, articles, finished goods- Challan 6.3).
Manage inventory levels, conduct cross-checks, and perform back calculations to ensure system accuracy.
Implement QC for incoming materials (e.g., leather inspection, purchase verification).
Conduct all kind of raw material procurement as per production planning.
3. Quality control and process improvement:
Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Focus on reducing WIP, wastage (man, motion, supply), and optimizing production speed (SPM/SMV).
04. Cost Management & Efficiency:
Calculate product Costing & Material Consumption.
Drive initiatives for Reducing Wastage (material, man, motion, time).
Implement and monitor LEAN Manufacturing principles.
Continuously identify and execute Cost Reduction opportunities
05. Product Development and Innovation:
Develop New Samples as directed.
Contribute to Innovation in products and processes.
Monitor competitor Trends & Products and report findings
06. Team Management and Development:
Handling Worker Recruiting, Skill Assessment, and Efficiency Evaluation.
Conduct Worker Counselling and performance management.
Ensure adequate staffing and skill levels for production targets.
07. Regulatory and Compliance:
Ensure all factory operations comply with local, national, (and international, if applicable) health, safety, environmental, and labour regulations.
Implement and maintain safety protocols, conduct safety training, and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Maintain necessary permits and licenses, and liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits. (Vat, Tax etc).
