Additional Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of knit fabric structure and processing

  • Hands-on experience in 4-point inspection system

  • Skilled in shade evaluation with standard & Pantone

  • Practical knowledge of spectrophotometer usage

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

  • Willingness to visit subcontract dyeing factories as needed 



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure overall quality of knit fabrics (Heavy Jersey, Rib, Interlock, Fleece) from development to bulk production

  • Coordinate with R&D to develop new fabrics and continuously improve quality of existing fabrics

  • Liaise with mills and suppliers for fabric development, innovation, and sampling

  • Evaluate yarn types, GSM, blends, knitting structure, and finishing processes to meet required standards

  • Ensure fabrics meet buyer requirements (hand feel, shrinkage, colorfastness, pilling, recovery, etc.)

  • Analyze lab test reports and CMC data to ensure compliance with buyer standards

  • Approve or reject fabric quality (lot-wise) with full accountability before bulk production

  • Perform and supervise fabric inspection using the 4-point system as required

  • Conduct shade evaluation using standard references and Pantone; operate spectrophotometer for color accuracy

  • Identify potential risks in fabric quality and implement preventive and corrective actions before bulk production

  • Work closely with Production, Merchandising, Quality, and Knitting teams (internal & external) to resolve issues

  • Troubleshoot fabric-related problems during cutting, sewing, and finishing processes

  • Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, buyer protocols) and maintain consistency between sample and bulk

  • Lead fabric inspections, report daily status to management, and promptly escalate any issues impacting quality or delivery
