Responsibilities & Context:
Must have very strong Fabric Sourcing knowledge and should be mentioned in the resume, otherwise don’t apply.
Source and develop fabrics from local and international suppliers (China, India, Turkey, Pakistan, etc.) based on buyer requirements.
Identify new fabric mills and suppliers, negotiate prices, MOQs, lead time, and quality standards.
Coordinate fabric development from concept to bulk approval, including lab dips, handlooms, strike-offs, and testing.
Work closely with merchandising, design, and production teams to ensure timely fabric availability.
Ensure fabrics meet buyer compliance, sustainability, and quality standards.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor market trends, innovations, and cost movements.
Manage fabric costing, approvals, and bulk production follow-ups.
