Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or Textile Engineering preferred or similar work experience

Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Fabric Research and Development
∎ Collect and organize all samples and receive/send all packages
∎ Organize all headers and swatch cards and prepare presentation materials for review with Design and/or Merchandising
∎ Communicate with mills and agents to ensure accurate fabric information and delivery details
∎ Schedule mill appointments and fabric meetings
∎ Attend select fabric appointments, trend presentations and concept meetings when necessary
∎ Build understanding of brand aesthetic and taste level through experience and study of past successes
∎ Sample Yardage Management
∎ Collect and track FIS sheets for all fabrics, ensuring accuracy and completeness
∎ Enter sample yardage orders in tools/system according to process and quantity/price guidelines
∎ Track sample yardage orders and update tools/system with appropriate details on delivery, status, etc.
∎ Receive and organize all sample yardage cuttings and ensure all required accompanying information is complete
∎ Gather all late requests from Design and update/input orders as directed by Fabric Manager
∎ Input pricing and ex-mills information into tools/system to keep track of department budget
∎ Execute and track counter costing and counter sourcing in tools/system
∎ Receive color submits for all orders; send and track all comments
∎ Update fabric tracking tool/system with status
∎ Maintain and organize fabrics and headers, removing fabric references from library when obsolete
∎ Maintain digital fabric library and/or documentation in tools/system
∎ Own accurate and timely data entry
∎ Maintain all fabric trackers with accuracy
∎ Input fabric prices in system, as applicable
∎ Gather data to support various Raw Material analyses
∎ Build understanding of critical reports and data

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 to 3 years relevant work experience as Fabric Coordinator in Fabric Mills or Buying House
∎ Good foundational knowledge of fabric with an understanding of the aesthetic

∎ Ability to build good relationships with cross functional partners and mills
∎ Ability to work well under pressure, operate with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines and multi task
∎ Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Strong written/oral communication skills
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
