Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), a leading conglomerate in Bangladesh, seeks dedicated professionals for its Foreign Trade Department to manage import operations. The role includes handling L/C processes, shipment documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for smooth and timely imports, reporting to the Department Head.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the preparation of L/C opening, document processing, L/C payment, and follow-up on document retirement.

  • Coordinate the preparation of commercial invoices and oversee online shipment booking and documentation.

  • Manage correspondence with buyers regarding any emerging issues (e.g., Export/Import L/C amendments, correction of L/C terms and conditions in compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, shipment conditions, etc.) via phone and email.

  • Collaborate to ensure the timely submission of all import and export-related statements and returns, adhering to regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and coordinate activities to establish and maintain effective relationships with Customs/Port Customs, Banks, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely maintenance of import shipping documents in compliance with Foreign Exchange Policy and BEZA regulations.
