Responsibilities & Context:
  • Patient care: Greet patients and visitors, answer questions, and provide directions. Comfort patients and help them feel at ease. 

  • Appointments: Schedule and confirm appointments, surgeries, and other procedures. Track availability and prepare patients for their appointments. 

  • Check-in and check-out: Collect patient information and process check-in and check-out. 

  • Communication: Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff. Liaise with other departments to ensure patient needs are met. 

  • Documentation: Update and organize patient records, and ensure patients have the proper documentation. Assist patients with completing forms. 

  • Billing: Process billing and co-payments, and provide information about payment policies. 

  • Reception area: Maintain a clean and organized reception area. 

  • Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality. 

  • Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.
