Position Overview

The Interior Project Construction Budget Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting interior design & construction teams through all project stages.
This role requires strong multitasking ability, working across drawings, BOQs, vendor coordination, material research, and client budgeting.


Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation

  • Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for interior design, renovation, and fit-out projects.

  • Estimate costs for materials, labor, MEP works, furniture, lighting, finishes, and custom elements.

  • Update cost sheets based on design revisions or client changes.

  • Analyze and validate vendor quotes to ensure competitive market pricing.

2. Project Analysis & Quantity Surveying

  • Review architectural, interior, structural, and MEP drawings.

  • Conduct on-site measurements and verify quantities.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising design quality.

3. Vendor & Material Coordination

  • Research market prices for materials (tiles, wood, laminates, paint, glass, hardware).

  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to collect updated rate charts.

  • Maintain a database of material specifications and vendor contacts.

4. Budget Management & Reporting

  • Prepare initial budgets, detailed cost breakdowns, and final cost summaries.

  • Track cost deviations during project execution.

  • Present budget reports to project managers and clients.

  • Highlight risks, price fluctuations, and BOQ gaps.

5. Multitasking & Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with design team, project managers, site engineers, and procurement team.

  • Work under multiple project deadlines simultaneously.

  • Assist design team with material selection based on cost feasibility.

  • Support project manager in tender preparation and technical documentation.

6. Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain organized project folders for drawings, calculations, and budgets.

  • Follow company SOP standards for estimation workflow.

  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery of all estimates.
