Responsibilities & Context: An Executive – Accounts & Finance manages day-to-day accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, handles taxation & compliance, supports budgeting, and assists management with financial insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- 1. Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Post journal entries, prepare ledgers, and reconcile accounts.
- ·Ensure proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, and bills.
- 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, verify bills, and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare customer invoices, follow up on receivables, and manage collections.
- ·Reconcile supplier and customer statements regularly.
- 3. Bank & Cash Management
- ·Handle bank transactions, deposits, and withdrawals.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
- Monitor daily cash flow and support cash management activities.
- 4. Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- 5. Budgeting & Cost Control
- ·Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenses.
- ·Track operational costs and highlight variances.
- Support management in decision-making through financial data analysis.
- 6. Payroll & Employee Expense Management
- Process staff payroll, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Maintain employee expense claims and petty cash handling.
- 7. Coordination & Support
- ·Work closely with senior accountants, finance managers, and auditors.
- Provide financial data to other departments when required.
- ·Support process improvements for efficiency in financial operations.
