Postion Overview:
Stardust Telecom Limited, a concern of Confidence Group, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Engineer – NOC (IPTV Operations).
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations of the end-to-end IPTV system through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, coordination, and quality assurance. The role involves real-time system surveillance, prompt issue resolution, performance optimization, and effective stakeholder communication to maintain consistent Quality of Service (QoS) across all IPTV platforms.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
System Monitoring & Operations:
Continuously monitor live alarms and overall health of IPTV systems, including Headend, Middleware, TV Mosaic, HLS Probe, CDN, and delivery network on a 24/7 roster basis.
Detect, report, and resolve issues related to content acquisition, transcoding, transport, servers, and web services.
Surveillance & Troubleshooting:
Conduct surveillance of multiple video systems across different geographical locations.
Perform logical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement standard break/fix actions.
Application & Service Maintenance:
Support testing and maintenance of video service applications including CDN, VOD, and broadcast services.
Ensure consistent service uptime and optimal performance of all related systems.
Incident Escalation & Collaboration:
Escalate complex issues to senior Video/Network Engineers as per escalation matrix.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer-impacting conditions effectively.
Coordination with Partners:
Communicate and coordinate with local and international partners for QoS or network-related issues.
Follow up to ensure resolution within defined SLAs.
Performance & Quality Assurance:
Prepare QoS performance reports, analyze trends, and escalate anomalies for corrective action.
Support operational efficiency initiatives to improve network and service reliability.
Stakeholder Communication:
Inform all relevant stakeholders about planned/scheduled maintenance work and service updates.
Record call failure causes and prepare detailed reports for clarification from responsible stakeholders.
