Position Overview:
Responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting core/access network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Provides technical support to clients and resellers, handling alerts, faults, and service requests with timely resolution. Maintains accurate network documentation, performance reports, and coordinates with vendors and upstream providers to ensure uninterrupted services.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
1. Network Configuration & Management
Configure and manage Core and Access network routing and switching.
Manage IP, Core, and Backbone networks with high efficiency.
Configure and install network devices and services across multiple vendors.
In-depth knowledge of Juniper, Mikrotik, Cisco devices, and OLT.
2. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Knowledge of IP networking (IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, STP, RSTP, OSPF, BGP).
Sound knowledge of L2 and L3 segments.
Monitor network performance to ensure high availability.
Prepare and provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Competency Level: Intermediate to Advanced
3. Protocol & Technology Expertise
Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, RSTP, MSTP, and VRF.
Ensure smooth traffic flow and routing efficiency in large-scale networks.
Competency Level: Expert
4. Customer & Reseller Support
Respond to customer requests for technical issue resolution via phone and email.
Handle reseller calls (incoming/outgoing) and maintain trouble tickets effectively.
Configure client-side devices (OLT, Switch, Router, etc.) as required.
Competency Level: Intermediate
5. Vendor & Upstream Coordination
Communicate with upstream providers and vendors to ensure service availability.
Raise trouble tickets to vendors and follow up until resolution.
Competency Level: Intermediate
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed and accurate network documentation.
Keep records of faults, escalations, and resolutions properly updated.
Competency Level: Basic to Intermediate
