Experience:
Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with MBA
Minimum 10 years` experience in energy sector project management, finance, or implementation
Experience in appraisal and due diligence of energy sector projects
Strong understanding of government procedures and/or development partner operations in Bangladesh
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh`s energy sector, including reforms, structure, and stakeholders
Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English; German is an advantage

KfW Dhaka Office seeks an Energy Sector Specialist to support project preparation, implementation, and new project development. KfW focuses in Bangladesh on renewable energy, energy efficiency, electricity transmission and distribution. The key responsibilities of the energy specialist are:
Establish and maintain partnerships with development organizations, government bodies, public companies, grid operators, and local authorities
Support portfolio managers in preparing, administering, and monitoring projects
Monitor project activities and fund utilization, report on those visits and progress reviews
Plan and support appraisal and review missions
Analyze sector trends, identify opportunities, and report on developments
Identify, assess and develop new energy projects with KfW leadership and HQ
Advise partners on KfW procedures, Represent KfW at events
