Job Context:
∎ About Terre des hommes:
∎ Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is the leading Swiss INGO focusing on child rights. It is active in more than 30 countries with development and emergency projects. Tdh interventions are focused on the three programs: Health, Migration and Access to Justice particularly for vulnerable children. Tdh Foundation has a transversal approach towards Child Protection programming and it cuts across all the thematic areas while also has been considered as one of the key value propositions in its business model. The Child Protection expertise within Tdh Foundation aims to develop high quality, evidence-based knowledge and know-how adapted to fragile contexts, conflict zones, and development to improve the protection of children`s rights and their right to protection from all forms of violence (art 19, 34 CRC) in collaboration with and in support of the three core programs. The Tdh Foundation global strategy 2021-2024 specifies that the will have demonstrated that rights-based participation, empowerment, and active involvement of children and communities in defining and implementing responses are essential to improve child protection.
∎ Context:
∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in Kurigram district, Dhaka district and Cox Bazaar district. Currently, Tdh is implementing programs on Health, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution) and Migration, integrated by the transversal expertise WASH and Child protection. Tdh interventions in Bangladesh are both in development and emergency context.
∎ Following the massive displacement of more than 800,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on Health, WASH, Child Protection and Social cohesion. Alongside, Tdh is implementing the CLARISSA project in Dhaka slums aiming to build a strong evidence base and generate innovative solutions to the worst forms of child labour (WFCL) and will explore how to take these solutions to scale.
∎ Tdh in Bangladesh has started the process of integration of emergency and development approaches and aims to capitalize its institutional learning for further programme expansion and to create critical pathways for evidence-based advocacy.
∎ PURPOSE OF POST:
∎ Is responsible for day-to-day EMR data entry and operationalization of EMR system within PHC. Ensure day-to-day maintenance of local server, cloud server, tabs, devices, networking and reporting related to EMR. Provide Technical Assistance to the health team for resolving data entry errors and quality output of the EMR Data. Responsible for in-depth analysis of the EMR reporting outcomes in alignment with the health sector reporting. Ensure that health data and information is collected, checked for completeness and quality, entered and disseminated, and feedback uptaken in a timely manner. Support Digital Solution Manager for rolling out EMR and improved capacity on data entry of internal and external staff on EMR.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific (Main) Responsibilities :
∎ Support Digital Solution Manager in Hardware maintenance for EMR Application
∎ Contributes to the adjustments in the data entry module of EMR System.
∎ Ensure consistent data entry by the health team within the PHC.
∎ Provide technical assistance to staff responsible for on-site data collection
∎ Participate in orientation of staff to health data collection tools and formats through hands-on sessions organized on site
∎ Attention to details which limits data entry on the EMR and reporting to the management
∎ Ensure timely schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) and cross-checking of data for accuracy and completeness
∎ Enter data in the health database on a timely basis, and contribute to continuous quality improvements
∎ Submit updated health database on a weekly and monthly basis, and as requested by project management and coordination. Provide and clarify descriptive snapshots of data
∎ Ensures and maintains confidentiality of health information and data
∎ Ensure filing of documents and regular backup of all processed data
∎ Generate health sector specific reports and work closely with data assistants for compilation of data
∎ Be flexible and perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required by direct supervisor.
∎ Other responsabilities:
∎ Prior Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in data management ( experience in any database language (SQL/Oracle) will be given preference) with INGO, Local NGO, or private/national company is required.
∎ Computer Language Skills: Experience/ Good knowledge in database language ( SQL/Oracle) and any programming language.
∎ Knowledge of Local servers, Cloud servers and Networking.
∎ Experience in data preparation ( Data visualization in Power Bi and KOBO Tools)
∎ Others: Microsoft office (excel, powerpoint etc) and the capacity to learn new software applications.
∎ Skills and Abilities: Organized, discreet, and people oriented. Possess strong communication skills (both oral and written), able to communicate with tact and diplomacy, and be able to work effectively with employees at all levels of an organization.
∎ Language Proficiency: English and Bangla skills are required for writing, typing and speaking. English Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge of Chitagonian would be an asset

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum two years hands-on experience in managing electronic data databases (SQL/Oracle) and working experience in MIS section in reputed organization
∎ Expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation, Data Analysis and Management, or a closely related field.
∎ Manages time and priorities, meets deadlines

∎ In-depth knowledge and understanding of digital archiving of data and how to operationalize these.

∎ Report serious cases of abuse on children that she/he would be aware of in Tdh's intervention locations. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
∎ Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
∎ Accept other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager
