Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social science or a related discipline/BSc engineering Relevant work experience may be considered instead of a degree.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in job linkage, providing employment support services, career counselling, or related fields
• Both males and females are allowed to apply
• Experience with TVET approaches such as CBT, RPL, and internship/apprenticeships is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of labor market trends, job search strategies, and employment-related resources.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with employers and industry associations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with job seekers, employers, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to assess individual needs, develop personalized plans, and support individuals in achieving their employment goals.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver presentations and facilitate training sessions or workshops.
• Proficient in using computer systems, databases, and software applications for record-keeping and data management.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards job seekers from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of employment legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Fluency in additional languages may be an asset, depending on the local community demographics.
Job Context
• Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 422 upazilas under 56 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
• The Employment Support Officer (ESO) will play a crucial role in assisting individuals seeking employment to achieve their career goals under the ACCESS - Advancing Career Connections, Employment, and Skills for Success_GG12 project. S/he will support graduates of TVET programs—including competency-based training (CBT), apprenticeships, dual training systems, and entrepreneurship training to transition effectively into the labor market. Primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive support and guidance to job seekers, including career counselling, resume preparation, job search strategies, interview preparation, and professional development. S/He will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as employers, community organizations, and local business associations, to connect job seekers with suitable employment opportunities. This position requires exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to effectively empower individuals and contribute to their successful employment outcomes. S/he will distribute time 80% in fieldwork and 20% in desk work and report directly to the project coordinator

Job Responsibilities
A. Employment Services & Job Placement:
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry associations, and private sector partners to identify employment opportunities.
• Support work-based learning, internships, and apprenticeship placements in collaboration with training providers and companies.
• Track job placements, retention, and career progression of graduates.
• Assist in conducting market assessment surveys and analysing information.
• Identify potential service providers, input/output market actors, project partners and producers (households) an assist in developing linkage among the targeted households.
• Organize Job Fair to foster the employment of youth.
B. Self-Employment Support:
• Promote green skills and sustainable enterprise models.
C. Career Guidance & Counselling:
• Provide career guidance sessions for trainees before, during, and after TVET courses.
• Organize career fairs, employer networking events like the CSR Award Ceremony, and motivational workshops.
• Conduct Initial assessments to understand job seekers' skills, qualifications, and career aspirations.
• Assist job seekers in creating or improving resumes, cover letters, and online profiles.
• Offer guidance on job search strategies, including online job portals, networking, and industry-specific resources.
• Help job seekers identify and pursue suitable employment opportunities based on their skills and interests.
• Offer emotional support and motivation to individuals facing difficulties in their job search journey.
• Assist job seekers in developing effective job interview techniques, including mock interviews and feedback sessions.
D. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Liaise with local industries, government agencies, and community organizations to strengthen employment pathways.
• Coordinate with training institutions to align training with labor market demand.
• Collaborate with local employers, recruitment agencies, and industry associations to identify job opportunities for job seekers.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and training providers to access resources and support services.
• Attend job fairs, career expos, and networking events to promote employment programs and connect job seekers with potential employers.
• Assist in organizing quarterly stakeholders’ coordination meeting with the local Government, private sectors, etc.
E. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning:
• Maintain employment support database and track employment/self-employment outcomes
• Collect feedback from employers and trainees to improve training and placement services.
• Contribute to tracer or census studies, impact assessments, and documentation of best practices.
• Document interactions, progress, and outcomes for job seekers in a confidential and organized manner.
• Prepare reports and statistics on program activities, participant achievements, and employment outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain data confidentiality.
• Provide Case studies of the successful Youth, those are secured their income generation.
F. Organization Development & Others:
• Any other duties that may be assigned by organization management.
• Provide support to the core activities of the organization as per the needs and requirements of the organization.
