Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Installation of Electrical Systems: Wiring new homes during construction.
∎ Installing electrical panels, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
∎ Setting up dedicated circuits for high-power appliances like stoves, air conditioners, and water heaters.
∎ Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues such as power outages, flickering lights, or faulty outlets.
∎ Replacing old or damaged wiring, switches, and fixtures.
∎ Inspecting and upgrading outdated electrical systems to meet current safety standards.
∎ Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
∎ Installing ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) and arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs) to prevent electrical hazards.
∎ Conducting safety inspections to identify potential risks, such as overloaded circuits or faulty wiring.
∎ Upgrades and Modernization: Upgrading electrical panels to handle increased power demands.
∎ Installing smart home systems, such as automated lighting, security systems, and energy-efficient solutions.
∎ Adding new circuits for home additions or renovations.
