Responsibilities & Context:

1. Electrical System Maintenance

   • Ensure smooth operation and preventive maintenance of all electrical systems, including HT/LT panels, transformers, generators, MCC, and distribution boards.

2. Machine Electrical Support

   • Handle electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of printing machines (rotogravure/flexo), laminators, slitters, pouch-making machines, extruders, and compressors.

3. PLC, VFD & Automation

   • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, encoders, and HMI panels used in production machinery.

4. Breakdown Management

   • Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.

5. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

   • Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintain related logs and records.

6. Power Management & Energy Efficiency

   • Monitor power consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities, and ensure proper load distribution.

7. Installation & Commissioning

   • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines, panels, and electrical equipment.

8. Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure electrical safety standards, proper earthing, insulation, and compliance with factory safety rules and statutory regulations.

9. Documentation & Reporting

   • Maintain electrical drawings, SOPs, maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and spare parts records.

10. Spare Parts Management

    • Identify critical electrical spares, ensure availability, and coordinate with store and procurement teams.

11. Team Coordination

    • Guide electricians and technicians, allocate work, and ensure discipline and skill improvement.

12. Vendor & Utility Coordination

    • Coordinate with machine suppliers, service engineers, utility providers, and inspection authorities when required.

13. Continuous Improvement

    • Suggest modifications or upgrades to improve machine reliability, safety, and efficiency.
