Job Context:
∎ Shobai Miley Pori will provide both technical support at the central and district levels of government and implementation support in schools in selected upazilas. The target beneficiaries of the intervention are children with disabilities in grade one and two in select Government Primary Schools. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people and in improving learning outcomes in Bangladesh.
∎ We are looking for Early Grade Learning Director with experience in some or all of the following areas:
∎ Provide technical leadership and expertise to guide the activity`s disability-inclusive education strategy, guiding student assessments, curriculum design and teacher professional development, community engagement, and education systems strengthening
∎ Engage actors across the education system to build an inclusive learning environment for children with disabilities and improve the quality of instruction
∎ Assist relevant counterparts in identifying and optimizing resources for children with special learning needs
∎ Collaborate with local communities and host-nation counterparts to promote learning for children with disabilities, improving knowledge, attitudes and practices to support inclusive education
∎ Provide technical expertise to government counterparts to ensure effective planning and management of disability-inclusive education in government primary schools
∎ Advise relevant Government of Bangladesh education ministries Collaborate with program staff and the Government of Bangladesh, USAID, host-nation education counterparts, and civil society organizations

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum ten years of technical experience designing and leading inclusive education mainstreaming and/or universal design for learning activities
∎ Demonstrated expertise in universal design for learning, teacher training, adaptive pedagogy, inclusive teaching and learning materials and curriculum development
∎ Proven understanding of education systems in Bangladesh
∎ Professional experience implementing donor-funded activities in Bangladesh is preferred
∎ Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
∎ Professional verbal and written proficiency in English and Bengali is required
