Accountabilities:
As driver, performing the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country`s traffic rules and MSF security rules in order to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service. Responsibilities are same as stated in the Driver JP.
As mechanic, in charge of maintaining all MSF vehicles and generators, ensuring that they are in good working condition and that they have the necessary materials and equipment, such as tools, emergency box, radio, spare parts, etc. Tasks includes fixing minor mechanical problems and liaising with the Fleet Supervisor for major mechanical problems. Ensuring that staff have and uses the appropriate protective materials
Maintaining up to date and accurate department stock cards and tracking the consumption and condition of products dedicated to MSF vehicles. Using materials according to MSF policies and procedures and in collaboration with the Supply Chain Supervisor, preparing the monthly LPO
For the fleet management, responsible for planning and organizing the weekly check-up and service of the vehicles according to MSF policies and procedures. After every service, repair and check-up, completing the necessary documents, such as logbook, check-up sheet and monthly report. Reporting any mechanical breakdown to the Field Logistician
Ensuring that all cars have the required papers and equipment (road-books, triangle, fire extinguisher, road triangle, spare oil, coolant, map, insurance driver licenses, matriculation, etc.)
With the Logistics Manager, identifying training needed by the drivers and making appropriate recommendations regarding the appropriate trainer
Preparing monthly roster for drivers
Providing the field log with a monthly report addressing at a minimum, the progression of activities, the difficulties encountered and the plan of action for the coming months
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:
Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and equipped with all necessary documentation and safety equipment (logbook, warning triangle, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, etc.).
Drive carefully at all times, respecting speed limits, national traffic regulations, and MSF security protocols to ensure the safety of passengers and goods.
Ensure the security and well-being of all passengers during transport.
Immediately inform the line manager of any incident or accident involving the transportation of passengers or goods.
Vehicle Inspections: Examining vehicles for potential issues, following checklists and reporting findings.
Routine Maintenance: Performing tasks oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and filter replacements.
Basic Repairs: Performing repairs on components like brakes and suspension.
Perform routine maintenance and General servicing on all MSF vehicles to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. Actively inspect, repair, and troubleshoot vehicle issues as needed to maintain reliability and safety.
Monitor and coordinate major servicing and repairing with external workshops as needed.
Ensure regular servicing and maintenance of generators in line with the approved schedule.
Plan and conduct weekly vehicle and generator check-ups and service schedules.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, check-up reports, and maintenance logs for all vehicles and generators.
Prepare and submit monthly reports on the status, activities, challenges, and maintenance plans for all vehicles and generators.
Maintain updated stock cards and inventories of spare parts and mechanical supplies.
Assist Log supervisor to organize and schedule daily vehicle movements in coordination with relevant staff.
Provide driving support during the absence (sickness, leave, etc.) of other
Assist the Logistics Supervisor in updating and maintaining mission vehicle documentation (registration, Route permit, tax token, etc.).
Perform any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
Permanent- contract will continue based on performance and operational needs. Salary according to level Four (4) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 47500 Gross). Salary is non-negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule.
2 annual leave days per month worked.
Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
There will be no provisions for relocation.
