Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed university degree in Medical science (MBBS) with post-graduate training (not mandatory) from an accredited academic institution.
∎ Good in written communication in English and Bangla.

Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is in agreement with UNICEF to implement a project titled `Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Nutrition Service Delivery for Bangladeshi Host Communities at Cox`s Bazar District`. The project will be funded by the World Bank to strengthen the current health system which has been constrained due to the Rohingya influx in 2017 and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, PHD inviting applications from qualified doctors for above-mentioned position to provide and strengthen CEmOC services with upgraded Neonatal Stabilization Unit (NSU) in five Upazila Health Complex in Cox`s Bazar district. Assuring support to the beneficiaries/patients particularly; establishing and supporting Gynecological and Obstetric services at NSU & CEmOC Upazila Health Complex to include; comprehensive emergency obstetrics services, assist in elective and Emergency Caesarean operations, management of NSU and related services.
∎ Job Location: 02 positions in each of 5 Upazila Health Complexes (Ramu, Chokoria, Pakua, Kutubdia and Moheskhali) of Cox`s Bazar District.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the technical supervision of UNICEF's Health Section, Cox's Bazar and in close collaboration with respective UHC, CS-Office, and relevant government institutions at Upazila-level, each Medical Officers will undertake the following tasks:
∎ Work as a medical doctor in managing neonatal cases, gynecological and obstetric cases, especially those will be referred from the UH&FWC/USC, CC and Community
∎ Provide nursing care to the patients admitted in the inpatient wards performing roster duties as and when needed to cover 24/7 services.
∎ Diagnose and monitor the vital signs and symptoms with particular attention.
∎ Prescribe medicine as required to optimize the clinical condition and provide necessary information and counselling to the patient or affected family members as well as organize follow up of the patients where necessary.
∎ Assist Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Active engagement with referral and management of transportation for the patients to higher facilities as required.
∎ Maintain close coordination with partners and provide technical support to the colleagues.
∎ Follow the daily checklist for ensuring all medical supplies are properly.
∎ Assist to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required.
∎ Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
∎ Perform such other relevant duties assign by the focal person and supervisor.
∎ S/he will maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Should have experience in Health Project particularly, in Field level which is related with of managing Labor Ward, Pediatric Ward/SCANU/NSU Ward.
∎ At least one year of experience in relevant areas on patient management services.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health will be an added advantage.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the Core Values; Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
∎ Working experience in a Full-time Hospitals/Clinics and/or knowledge of managing Labor Ward, Pediatric Ward/SCANU/NSU Ward will carry an added value.
Salary:
∎ BDT 90,000/per month (TAX will be deducted at source)
