Experience:

• At least 3 years

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

• At least 3 years

• Age 30 to 45 years

• MBBS with post-graduate qualification in Ophthalmology (DO / MS / FCPS).
• Valid BMDC registration (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ophthalmic surgery (cataract focus preferred).
• Experience in humanitarian or camp-based health programs is highly desirable.
• Fluency in local languages (Rohingya/Chittagonian) is a strong advantage.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, and reporting skills.

Job Title : Doctor (Ophthalmologist)

Responsible to: Cilinic Manager

Job Location: Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar

Job Purpose:

To lead clinical and surgical eye care services for Rohingya and host communities, including cataract diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, ensuring high-quality and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct eye examinations, diagnose ocular diseases, and determine treatment plans.
• Screening for cataract surgeries following medical protocols.
• Supervise and guide the optometrist, medical assistant, and pharmacist.
• Ensure proper pre-operative and post-operative care, patient counseling, and follow-up.
• Maintain medical records, surgery registers, and patient data accurately.
• Participate in mobile outreach eye camps within Rohingya camps and host communities.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and clinical safety standards.
• Support training and capacity building of field health staff.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager, or senior management team as required.
