Job Context:
∎ CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women needing reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named "Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refugees coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with the Directorate of Social Welfare. CWFD formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. ∎ Vision Statement: Empower women, youths, and adolescents to achieve gender equality and social justice within family and society.
∎ Mission Statement: CWFD is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organization run by women of Bangladesh to support, promote and protect the interest of women in Bangladesh by providing community-based health care, empowering the community to exercise their rights to eliminate social injustice, creating economic opportunities, empower underprivileged youth of urban and rural population and develop human resources for a positive social change.
∎ Project Summary: At present, CWFD is implementing Community Mobilization Program at Tangail, Jamalpur and Manikgonj district with 08 Upazilas in technical support and funded by Social Marketing Company (SMC).
∎ Job Location: Delduar, Tangail
∎ Job Duration: Initial one year (Possibility of extension based on performance and budget)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be located at the district project office, Delduar, Tangail
∎ Prepare monthly activity plan
∎ Organize and conducts Community Mobilization activities at community level
∎ Monitor all activities of the intervention areas
∎ Prepare all kinds of project reports and documents, and submit to the head office of CWFD and other respective offices on a regular basis
∎ Maintain all kinds of liaison, coordination, and effective communication among the stakeholders, donor representatives, and other stakeholders for effective implementation of the project activities
∎ Oversee the Women Entrepreneurs called Gold Star Members (GSMs) activities and support the team for undertaking knowledge and skills development initiatives
∎ Provide technical support to create awareness and increase sales of public health products
∎ Organize and conduct monthly, quarterly and yearly staff coordination meeting
∎ Facilitate training and meetings
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Have good facilitation, communication, networking, and team-building skills
∎ Have good writing skills in preparing reports in both English and Bangla
∎ Have experience in extensive field visits
∎ Excellent computer literacy is a must
∎ Have valid motorcycle driving license is must
∎ Age relaxed high experience candidate
Salary: Tk. 31500 (Monthly)
