Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Be in line with organizational strategic objectives and goals.
∎ Provision of IRB country strategy implementation at the field level.
∎ Projects lead / Supervisor in managing the projects Scaling-up Inclusive Climate Resilience of Vulnerable Communities through locally led Adaptation(ICRA), overseeing the budget and carrying out the monthly expenditure analysis, preparing reports and requirements of funds.
∎ Regularly follow up on the project’s activity, financial status, work progress.
∎ Assist in maintaining strict compliance with donor rules and regulations.
∎ Manage and mitigate any risks within the project (financial, human resources, or legal consequences) or negatively impact the government or IRB’s reputation.
∎ Engage in different need assessments, baseline and end-line surveys, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), and other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Develop internal monitoring and operational plan, monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, and materials & inform the project focal / supervisor.
∎ Support in monitoring the implementation of activities of partners (contractors, consultants, grantees) in accordance with agreements, work plans, deliverables, and timelines.
∎ Strengthen IRB in their capacities and advocacy role in LLA and LAPA.
∎ Generates new ideas and approaches, researches best practices and proposes new, more effective ways of doing things.
∎ Ensure complaint log and register at the project level. In close cooperation with the Project lead and Program manager/ Deputy program manager and maintain coordination with.
∎ HRM & OD Department Islamic Relief Bangladeshother District Managers to direct implementation of theproject to achieve the planned results.
∎ Support and supervise resilient livelihood, adaptive agriculture, CCA, LLA and DRR interventions to achieve the project impact in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Ensure quality and standards of technical interventions at every level of the project.
∎ Practice and promote SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) throughout the project.
∎ Ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), DNH, Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.
∎ Undertake capacity development initiatives of project staffs through training, coaching, mentoring.
∎ Prepare capacity development materials CCA, LLA, DRR, and resilient livelihood; provide technical support in conducting capacity-building initiatives, and formulation of policies, strategies guidelines, and tools.
∎ To ensure Orientation for key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.
∎ Supervision through field visit, SHG meeting, meeting with Apex body.
∎ Ensure quality donor report, monthly, quarterly and interim within the timeline.
∎ Ensure all kind of MIS data are collected and supported monitoring and MEAL team as per their requirement.
∎ Assess project performance to identify success factors and incorporates best practices into project work.
∎ Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for creating an evidence base for resilient livelihood, CCA, LLA, and DRR.
∎ Maintain administrative/financial files and project documentation.
∎ Assist with data collection, processing, and analyzing data from the field and produce information/briefs for interventions, strategies, projects, and programs.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative reports as per the proposal and project needs.
∎ Assist Project Focal / Supervisor to meet the different reporting deadlines.
∎ To ensure organizational visibility in different stages.
∎ Share different information to develop the project with the knowledge management team.
∎ Support to Baseline and MTR.
∎ Ensure data collection as per requirement.
∎ Ensure the project inception/Exit/ LLW meeting with different-level stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with Upazila, UNO, DC office, and Relevant Government agencies particularly local-level disaster management committees (DMCs) to ensure their active participation in project implementation.
∎ Ensure appropriate links with Apex body/ CSOs’ national/local/UN authorities, state institutions, civil society, LLA platform/working group, and other relevant stakeholders, including effective coordination and information exchange with them.Other Requirements- 10%
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Support to Implementation of the Emergency projects as per IRCO requirements.
∎ Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, inventory, and another essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project resources, staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Ensure required logistics are in placed timely.
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
