  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, Anthropology, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field; and a Master’s degree will get high priority.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in in similar position in NGO/INGO.

  • Have the motivation to stay at the Upazilla level and work with Migrants, community peoples, GoB departments, Civil Society, NGOs, and development partners.

  • Working experience with migration-related projects will add value.

  • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, and internet use is an advantage.

  • Strong report writing skills in English. Bangla typing skill is most needed.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of local context and cultural sensitivities.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Assist project planning and implementation, budget management, and ensure the overall project implementation at the local level as per operational guidelines.

  • Ensure selection of the areas for project implementation, such as Upazila, and Union.

  • Support the selection and establishment of the MIRS booths at the Upazila/Union level.

  • Maintain overall office management including the setup of the project office at district level, arrange the seating arrangement of the staff, ensure administrative, logistics, stationaries, and necessary financial management as per applicable policy.

  • Ensure maintenance including security and day-to-day operations of the district office.

  • Maintain regular coordination with the Head of HR, Finance/Admin, and Project Coordinator of RMMRU.

  • Maintain regular coordination with Government offices such as the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Technical Training Centre (TTC), District Employment and Manpower Office (DEMO), District offices of the Department of Women Affairs (DWA), Department of Social Services (DSS), Department of Youth Development (DYD), and other relevant government offices.

  • Maintain regular coordination & communication with Local Government, Elites & community level stakeholders.

  • Organize meetings, seminars, trainings, and events at the District, Upazila level & Union level and facilitate the events as required.

  • Support in the implementation of field-level campaigns/meetings for community mobilization.

  • Support organization of pot songs, wall painting events, and art & cultural competitions.

  • Provide support in selection, registration, reintegration counselling of the project beneficiaries, and ensure data entry in the recommended information management tools.

  • Participate in comprehensive training on gender-responsive reintegration counseling including case management and referral mechanism.

  • Assist project staff to ensure (re)integration planning and refer them to relevant economic, social, and psychosocial services for sustainable reintegration or safe re-migration.

  • Ensure post-referral monitoring and follow-up of the beneficiaries to ensure access to the services.

  • Assist project staff in identifying and providing services to the displaced population.

  • Maintain and monitor project-related progress, data, and information.

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports and monthly updates.

  • Refer project beneficiaries and their family members to the available social services including accommodation, health and wellbeing, education and training, documentation, access to justice, and any other services as per their needs.

  • Ensure communication and visibility of the project as per the implementation plan.

  • Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Principles.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
