Experience:
Minimum bachelor’s degree
4 years working experience on WASH
Knowledge of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene situation and practice in Bangladesh
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Knowledge on digital data entry and event reporting.
Strong ability to mentor and motivate local enterprises.
Proactive and collaborative approach to market system development.
Experience working with local sanitation enterprises/ stakeholders (RCC ring, slab, sanitation material producers, latrine installers, associated mason etc.).
Experience in preparing training modules and delivering training for local sanitation enterprises/ stakeholders.
In depth technical and market knowledge to improve product quality and business for local sanitation enterprises.
At least 1 year of experience on managing program team.
Project Background:
Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activity aims to improve nutrition outcomes of children under 5, pregnant and lactating women, and adolescents (girls and boys) by strengthening the market systems for nutritious foods and WASH products and applying integrated Market Facilitation and Social Behavior Change approaches that empower market and community actors to address underlying causes of malnutrition in Bangladesh. The Activity also aims to promote the consumption of these nutrition-enhancing products (demand side). The Activity intends to promote innovations and private sector investments in distribution techniques that include embedded services such as extension messages for improved homestead productivity or nutrition messages to enhance the quality of meals, as well as marketing practices such as courtyard information sessions and demonstrations, advertising, and the provision of other embedded services that impart information or other advantages to the consumer. Throughout five years period, The Activity will contribute to improved nutritional outcomes in selected Upazilas of Bangladesh through improvements in three results: Result 1: Consumption of nutritious, diverse, and safe diets by rural households, Result: 2: Social and economic empowerment of women and adolescents Result 3: Adoption of improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the WASH programmatic discussion, work plan preparation, analyze risk and take mitigation actions, and finally the overall implementation of WASH interventions.
Extend administrative support to field team for timely implementation.
Contribute to training module development and designing the training event and effective training delivery for beneficiaries.
Support in executing SBCC campaigns for overall improvement WASH situation improvement in local level.
Advise scouting potential local WASH actors, interview, analyze and identify beneficiaries.
Ensure proper documentation, compile data on beneficiaries, business performance, customers etc., prepare progress reports and share as required.
Explore local market to identify private sector suppliers and conduct meetings to strengthen the business linkage between private sector suppliers and WASH enterprises.
Regularly meet to liaison with local government institutes (Upazila Parishod, Union Parishod DC Office etc.), strengthen linkage with beneficiaries and share BNA progress.
Analyze results and support exploring future scope of work.
Salary
51000-56100 BDT/Month plus actual conveyance allowance, Monthly Mobile Bill and Group Life Insurance benefit.
