Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must be Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food preparation, hygiene, and safety, food handling procedures, and following written instructions.
∎ Must be able to read and understand in English and Bengali
∎ To report for duty, punctually, wearing the correct uniform
∎ Load, run and unload the dish machine.
∎ Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
∎ Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
∎ Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
∎ Keep washing area clean and organized.
∎ Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
∎ Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
∎ Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
∎ Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
∎ Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
∎ Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
∎ Prep assigned items. Measure and assemble ingredients and prepare recipes and menu specifications in accordance to Bistro E recipes.
∎ Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks to ensure work load is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately. Ability to multitask
∎ Ability to work as part of a small team and independently and use initiative
∎ Able to listen and follow directions
∎ Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
∎ Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
∎ Should be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 kgs.
∎ Must be able to work unsupervised
∎ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 1 year experience working within a high volume fine dining establishment as Dish Washer
∎ Age 18 to 25 year(s)
∎ Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.
∎ Can operate dish machines.
∎ Knowledge of basic dish washing machine operations
∎ Show interest of flavor and food products
∎ Show good practice in working hygienically around food
∎ Attention to detail.
∎ Possess basic math skills
