Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience Sales & Marketing and at least 2/3 years in similar position
∎ Experience in managing the brand standards
∎ Experience in managing owner relationship
∎ Able to resolve conflicts; guests, supervisor and employee
∎ Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
∎ Ability to travel
∎ Knowledge or hotel operations including; preparation of business plans, budget forecasting, quality assurance program, hospitality law, and long-range planning
∎ General knowledge of contract laws

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement revenue generation strategies that support achievement of the Hotel's financial goals
∎ Monitor hotel performance and forecast regularly and adjusts strategies as required
∎ Develop the annual hotel budget in conjunction with the Executive Team and in line with Corporate Budget Instructions
∎ Implementation of revenue generation strategies designed to maximize revenue and yield. Drive WRS delivery by working with Reservation Services to market the Hotel appropriately and ensure current cost structures are reflected in the database
∎ Create and implement marketing strategies which are designed to increase awareness in the local market.
∎ Maintain a high level of awareness of hotel competitor set performance and local market opportunities
∎ Leverage all brand marketing support opportunities
∎ Review of all business opportunities to ensure profitability levels are acceptable
∎ Design and propose programs which meet customer needs and drive demand
∎ Develop and implement annual sales & marketing goals which are aligned with the hotel's overall revenue goal
∎ Implement function space allocation for group and catering bookings
∎ Monitor productivity and revenue goals for each department team member by tracking results
∎ Implement weekly and monthly sales and "revenue optimization" meetings
∎ Prepare the annual operating budget for Sales and Marketing
∎ Recommend any items to be included in the capital budget and ensure adherence with the approved budget
∎ Monitor actual versus budgeted expenses and takes corrective action where required
∎ Communicate performance expectations and provide employees with on-going feedback
∎ Provide employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
∎ Drive employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans
∎ Ensure thorough understanding and revision of department policies and procedures are undertaken and followed by all existing and new department team members
∎ Ensure all materials used to market the Hotel are in accordance with brand standards
∎ Ensure thorough understanding of all Brand Sales and Marketing programs
∎ Keep immediate Manager fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
∎ Maintain a high standard of personal grooming at all times in order to represent the Hotel and Company in a professional manner
∎ Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall objectives of this position
∎ Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
∎ Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager
