Experience:
Minimum 20 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the Hospitality industry.
Experience with international hotel development projects, including navigating diverse regulatory environments and cultural differences is preferred.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
Effective negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of real estate markets and hotel industry trends.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
Deep understanding of current trends and future outlooks in the hospitality industry, including guest preferences, technological advancements, and competitive landscape.
Comprehensive knowledge of zoning laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements related to hotel development.
Familiarity with sustainable development practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED) to move towards more eco-friendly operations.
Ability to lead and inspire a team toward achieving organizational goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Adaptability to changing market conditions and project demands.
Based at the company’s headquarters with frequent travel to development sites.
Full-time job, with flexibility for extended hours based on project needs.
Context : This role involves identifying new development opportunities, overseeing the acquisition and construction of new properties, and ensuring projects align with the company`s strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities :
Develop and implement the hotel development strategy in line with the company’s goals.
Identify and evaluate potential development sites and acquisition targets.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
Oversee the entire development process from site selection to hotel opening.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
Prepare and manage the development budget.
Conduct financial analyses and forecasts to support investment decisions.
Ensure projects meet financial performance metrics and return on investment targets.
Develop and maintain relationships with investors, developers, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Negotiate terms and agreements with partners and vendors.
Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
Ensure all development activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Oversee the permitting and licensing processes.
Manage environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop the hotel development team.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
