    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/MBA from reputed University with minimum 2nd Division/Class/CGPA 3.00 at all stages.
  • FCA /FCMA will be given preference.

Experience:

  • At least 15 years working experience in administration at financial management, accounting control in any reputed organization preferably in any higher level educational institution of which 5 years must be in the rank of Deputy Director or its equivalent or higher
  • Must have sound written and oral communication skills in English, Bengali and sound knowledge of University Rules, Regulations, Acts and Policies.
  • Skill, computer literary and experience related to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Online Management of Office Systems, Automated Office Maintenance with cyber security will be preferred.


Responsibilities & Context:

This position is responsible for delivering professional, ethical & effective financial practices, budget preparation, support cost control, risk management, planning financial strategies, managing overall day-to-day operations and strategic functions of Finance, Accounts, Tax & VAT.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the university’s vision and goals.
  • Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with various departments. Monitor, control and report on the university’s budget and financial performance. Ensure effective utilization of resources within allocated budgets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the Board of Trustees, Vice Chancellor, and regulatory bodies (e.g., UGC). Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local laws.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT, and statutory regulations. Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial operations.
  • Oversee tuition fee collection, grants, and other income sources. Manage investments, endowments, and ensure efficient cash flow management.
  • Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Monitor and control operational costs without compromising educational quality.
  • Develop, Implement, and regularly review financial policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
  • Act as a key liaison with banks, financial institutions, tax authorities and government bodies. Support the Vice-Chancellor and management with financial insights for decision-making.
  • Lead and develop the finance team to ensure efficiency, integrity, and high performance. Provide training and capacity-building opportunities to enhance team skills.
  • Participate in strategic planning, infrastructure development and resource mobilization initiatives.
