Responsibilities & Context: - Oversee overall production of knitted fabrics (synthetic preferred) with basic knowledge of woven synthetics.
- Lead end-to-end production planning—from yarn procurement to fabric shipment—ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
- Analyze Planning vs. Achievement, prepare RCA & PDCA, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure achievement of Lab to Bulk Dyeing RFT targets and bulk-to-bulk reproducibility.
- Maintain performance targets from Dyeing to Finishing stages.
- Mentor, guide, and motivate production teams through hands-on leadership.
- Develop and update SOPs for existing processes and R&D to bulk production.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Planning, Merchandising, and Shipment teams.
- Control WIP levels and minimize NC (Non-Confirmed) quantities.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives through structured committees for fabric manufacturing.
- Ensure alignment with buyer technical requirements in coordination with Merchandising.
- Ensure proper dye selection considering fixation curves, color fastness, and cost-effective recipes.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of color chemistry, dye behavior, auxiliaries, and processes.
- Troubleshoot dyeing and finishing issues through structured root cause analysis.
- Develop value-added finishes (Moisture Management, Anti-UV, Antimicrobial, Coating, etc.).
- Drive KPI achievement across production teams.
- Conduct monthly data analysis on RFT performance and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Liaise with suppliers for cost-effective dyes & chemicals ensuring RSL, ZDHC, TDS, MSDS, GHS compliance.
- Analyze knitting, dyeing, and finishing costs to optimize margins.
- Support Merchandising on buyer inquiries to achieve target pricing and quality parameters.
