• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of server hardware, virtualization, storage, networking, and security. Experience with cloud computing, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is a plus.Azure DevOps Engineer Expert and Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and(AWS) Certified Solutions Architect, demonstrate the candidate`s technical skills and commitment to their profession.

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients and team members, is essential.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively is critical for this role.

• Attention to Detail: Must be meticulous and have a keen eye for detail, to ensure the stability and security of the company`s IT systems.

• Team player: Ability to work in a team environment, share knowledge and collaborate with other team members.

• Cloud Computing:

  1. Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  2. Knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment, and management.

  3. Experience with cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

• System Administration:

  1. Proficiency in managing and configuring Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.

  2. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

  3. Strong with Shell, Python, Go, or Ruby

  4. Ability to write tools/scripts to support automation

• Networking:

  1. Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols.

  2. Experience with network configuration, firewalls, routers, and switches.

  3. Knowledge of VPNs, load balancing, and network security practices.

• DevOps Practices:

  1. Understanding of DevOps principles and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Git.

  2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.

• Database Management:

  1. Knowledge of database systems such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.

  2. Experience with database administration, backup, and recovery.

• Set standards for code quality, tooling, and best practices.

• Conduct performance reviews and provide growth paths for team members.

• Define and implement the overall DevOps strategy.

• Align DevOps goals with the company’s software delivery and business objectives.

• Lead initiatives for automation, scalability, and high availability.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensure fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.

• Integrate testing, security checks, and quality gates into pipelines.

• Lead infrastructure automation using IaC (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Enforce best practices for provisioning, monitoring, and configuration.

• Implement observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

• Lead on-call rotation planning and incident response.

• Conduct postmortems and root cause analyses.

• Implement DevSecOps practices: secret management, image scanning, etc.

• Ensure infrastructure and processes meet security and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams.

• Work closely with software engineers, QA, product managers, and security.

• Help development teams adopt best DevOps practices (shift-left testing, GitOps, etc.).

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Evaluate and implement new DevOps tools.

• Standardize toolchains and processes across teams.

• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics.

• Monitor and optimize cloud usage and infrastructure costs.

• Implement resource governance (budgets, quotas, policies).

• Maintain documentation for systems, workflows, and incident procedures.

• Foster a culture of transparency and continuous learning.
