1. Role Overview & Core Responsibilities

• Footage Assembly: Cut, trim, and assemble raw video footage, multi-cam angles, and audio tracks into cohesive story-driven videos.

• Audio & Sound Design: Clean up audio tracks, select background music, balance sound levels, and apply sound effects (SFX).

• Visual Effects & Motion: Create engaging graphics, text overlays, lower thirds, titles, and basic visual effects (VFX).

• Color Grading: Perform color correction and grading to match brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across scenes.

• Format Optimization: Export, format, and optimize videos for various channels (e.g., YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, TV/Broadcast).

2. Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Editing Software: Advanced proficiency in industry-standard Non-Linear Editors (NLEs):

  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro (Required), After Effects (Required for motion graphics).

  • Alternatives: DaVinci Resolve (Color grading & editing), Final Cut Pro, or CapCut (for fast-turnaround social media).

• Audio & Visual Tools: Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator (for asset creation/extraction).

• Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, frame rates ($24\text{fps}, 30\text{fps}, 60\text{fps}$), bitrates, and rendering pipeline optimization.

3. Experience & Soft Skills

• Portfolio / Demo Reel: A strong, up-to-date portfolio showing pacing, storytelling, audio mixing, and visual style (Non-negotiable).

• Visual Storytelling: Strong grasp of pacing, narrative flow, hook creation (especially for short-form content), and timing.

• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain organized project file structures.

• Communication: Ability to take constructive feedback, implement revision notes, and collaborate with directors, marketers, or content creators.

4. Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 2D/3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender).

• Basic videography or camera operation experience.

• Understanding of social media algorithms, viewer retention metrics, and thumbnail creation.

• Knowledge of generative AI video/audio tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, Runway, Descript).
