Responsibilities & Context:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and motivated QA Intern to join our small corporate team. In this role, you will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure our internal tools, client-facing applications, and software systems run flawlessly.
As a small corporate house, we move fast, and everyone wears multiple hats. This isn't a coffee-fetching internship—you will get hands-on experience with manual testing, bug tracking, and potentially automated testing frameworks, making a tangible impact on our daily operations from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution: Perform manual functional, regression, and usability testing on web and mobile applications based on technical requirements.
Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira or Trello. Write clear, step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce bugs.
Test Case Creation: Assist in writing and updating comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Collaboration: Work alongside developers to understand feature requirements and verify bug fixes.
Quality Advocacy: Keep the user experience top of mind, suggesting improvements to design and functionality where necessary.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience/bootcamp background).
Mindset: A strong eye for detail. You genuinely enjoy breaking things to figure out how they work.
Technical Familiarity:
Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or basic scripting is a plus but not required.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (crucial for writing clear bug reports).
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a smaller, agile corporate environment where priorities can shift quickly.
