Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical guidance to the Global Affairs Canada project team on GBV and Protection of Specialized Interventions to ensure that standards and procedures are followed.
∎ Prepare quality monthly and periodic project progress reports, as well as the final report, and feed in other information as required by donors.
∎ Ensure on a daily basis the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of GAC projects and interventions.
∎ Maintain consistent collaboration with GBV, Protection Monitoring and various BRAC programs and departments and field offices to ensure the smooth implementation of project activities.
∎ Work closely with the Men and Boys Engagement in GBV prevention team to develop strategies to engage men and boys in community mobilization efforts through accountable practices to create a protective environment for women and girls.
∎ Use popular theatre-based approach, radio programs and school base campaign on to sensitize, raise awareness, and inquire about sensitive issues.
∎ Development and sharing of best practices for gender-transformative and survivor-sensitive GBV services.
∎ Provide necessary support to complete the due administrative processes and meet the requirements of relevant organizational policies and gov't regulations.
∎ Support to enhance adolescent and youth participation in design making process at the community level as well family level.
∎ Conduct need assessment on integrating gender and power analysis and voices and perspectives of adolescent girls.
∎ Support in developing curriculum and materials related to ASRH and life skill programming.
∎ Provide capacity building training on life skill, EMPA approach, ASRH , interpersonal skills , conflict management and positive coping mechanism .
∎ Provide capacity building training to health workers on SRHR issues.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Strong mentality to work with displaced people as well as GBV survivors.
∎ Strong experience from a humanitarian/NGO setting with relevant professional experience in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse, protection, gender-based violence, staff misconduct and discipline, gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs.
∎ Excellent team management and leadership skills.
∎ Ability to adapt to changes and work in tense situations.
∎ Strong motivation and ability to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders.
∎ Ability to speak the local Chittagong dialect is an added advantage.
∎ Willingness and ability to work in the field directly with communities (camp setting and communities in the project field area).
