Job Responsibilities:
∎ Programme Development & Implementations (40%)
∎ To be responsible for the planning, organization, and Implementation of the integrated Program in Bangladesh.
∎ To provide leadership to the team for the development of the quality program in the area of resilience, Economic Empowerment, Climate Change Adaptation, Child Rights, etc.
∎ Lead the team to identify various funding opportunities & develop quality proposals targeting institutional and non-institutional funding.
∎ Responsible for Managing Program budgets- & ensuring sound financial monitoring/Compliance and accountability of the project.
∎ Program/project development for long-time interventions and seek/or identify sources of funding for new integrated programmes
∎ Ensure effective technical support of the program through undertaking regular monitoring, handholding & close supervision of the program team.
∎ Ensure humanitarian Principles, code of conduct & standard is in aspects of program implantation.
∎ Programme Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (20%)
∎ Conduct internal impact evaluations of the projects and draw adequate recommendations in coordination with the Head of Programmes
∎ Design and conduct Good Practices and Lessons Learned workshops involving wider stakeholders
∎ Building on existing learning and good practice to develop and implement a sound monitoring and evaluation system of the project jointly with the internal MEAL team
∎ Lead the Project team to develop and use innovative approaches to monitor the performance of resilience, Economic Empowerment, Climate Change Adaptation, Child Rights, etc.
∎ Strategic Planning (10%)
∎ To develop a long-term integrated program strategy for IRB which resonates with current humanitarian discourse & addresses challenges in line with IRW's global strategy.
∎ Led project teams in the development of Resilience, DRR, CCA Economic Empowerment, Climate Change Adaptation, and Child Rights in Bangladesh including annual and other regular Reviews and Business Plan
∎ Networking and External Communications (10%)
∎ To represent IRB in various national & international forums and promote the IRB program portfolio through active engagement in various discussions about policy & practices.
∎ To build, nurture & strengthen strategic partnerships with various national & international humanitarian organizations including donors, government departments & other stakeholders.
∎ Establishing and maintaining contact with a wide range of organizations/ stakeholders for value addition to program/ project implementation.
∎ Participate in and support national and regional campaign & advocacy working groups as and when required.
∎ Proactively identify advocacy opportunities, case studies, and research opportunities that link with wider organizational strategic objectives.
∎ Collaborate closely with IRB's Head of Program and External Relations & Communication Unit, for driving key advocacy messages related to project interventions in Bangladesh.
∎ Staff Management & Development (10%)
∎ Provide leadership and direction to the team through proactive engagement, communication, and direction
∎ Develop strategic objectives and work plans for the unit through the active participation of the team member.
∎ Ensuring that each member of the team fully understands the outcomes that are expected of them and they are aware of the success criteria which pertain to their work.
∎ Ensuring that work is planned and organized in a way that will meet the needs of staff at the Islamic Relief Country Office and in project areas in the most cost-effective manner possible.
∎ Ensuring that team members are given appropriate workloads and are working efficiently.
∎ Supporting team members to enable them to give their best e.g. by encouraging and Praising good performance, Coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, and providing resources, tools, and equipment.
∎ Monitoring and reviewing performance and, in particular, holding staff accountable for meeting the success criteria and delivering any improvement goals which have been identified; giving corrective feedback where required, and taking decisive action in the case of poor performance.
∎ Ensuring that staff is adequately trained and developed for their roles e.g. by analyzing staff training needs, organizing the delivery of training or coaching, and coordinating the sharing of experience.
∎ Others (10%)
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of projects.
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.)
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ At least 13 years (s) of experience in a relevant field/sector (DRR, CCA, Economic Empowerment, Child Rights, etc)
∎ A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience at a similar level.
∎ Knowledge of strategic planning processes and theories of Integrated programming approach
∎ Capacity-building experience including training and skills development.
∎ Ability to work independently, function effectively as a member of a regional team, and adhere to strict deadlines
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
∎ Proven ability to develop project proposals and concepts
∎ Excellent networking and partnership-building skills
∎ An in-depth understanding of international development and Bangladesh's economic, social, and development context
∎ High level of numeracy and understanding of financial controls and procedures
∎ Understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of DRR, CCA, Economic Empowerment, Child Rights
∎ Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
∎ Good communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills
∎ Strong team-building and motivational skills
∎ Strong negotiating, strategic thinking, and influencing skills
∎ Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities, and implications to community development
∎ Fluency in English
∎ Self-Development & Adaptive behavioral Skills, Mental Health Stability
