Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Deputy MedCo position will be based between the field projects (70%) and Cox’s Bazar Coordination (30%). The Coordination Team will be supporting all projects located in Cox’s Bazar District as well as the Kamrangirchar project.
∎ Specific responsibilities of the Deputy MedCo will be (non-exhaustive):
∎ Day to day support (and functional supervision) to projects in Kutupalong and Balukhali camps (with the support of MedCo).
∎ upporting projects in COVID-19 response including HP messaging, mask distributions, surge capacity, implementation of community based programs, maintaining overview of and working with MedCo on COVID-19 related studies and surveys. Coordinating COVID-19 activities with other local/international actors, including MoH
∎ Support Medical teams in quality assurance implementation and capacity building of NS teams
∎ Patient referrals (projects to external): Together with the MedCo and MedCo Support, update/revise the referral policy when needed.
∎ Support the MedCo support in the day-to-day management of the Cox referral team.
∎ Data management and reporting:
∎ - Critical analysis of medical data and provide feedback to the project MTLs and MedCo.
∎ - Review, analyze and provide feedback/recommendations to the MMRs and other reports. Submit pre-final versions to MedCo.
∎ - Work closely with Epidemiologist in maintaining close overview of community mortality monitoring, communicable disease line listing and alerting MedCo of potential outbreaks, ensure consistent and accurate reporting to appropriate authorities (ie. MoH, WHO)
∎ Staff health responsible for Cox’s projects:
∎ - Support the MTLs or staff health responsible expat on day-to-day management of national staff health issues.
∎ - Support the MTL/PMR/staff health responsible and project pharmacists in updating staff health kits etc.
∎ - Together with the MedCo, manage the expat staff health related issues.
∎ - Support the MedCo in updating/revision of staff health policies/SOPs.
∎ - Manage and support the staff health psychologist in meeting the mental health needs of staff.
∎ Manage and support the mental health activity manager in implementing OCA mental health program.
∎ Shared representation of MSF/MedCo with MoH and external actors (when delegated by the MedCo).
∎ Replace the MedCo during leaves and gaps.
∎ Participate in the project proposal cycles exercise and presentation at the OST.
∎ Support the mission pharmacist during the TSR analysis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proficiency in English and Bengali is essential, Chittagonian is desirable
∎ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, powerpoint and internet)
Salary:
∎ Tk. 197305 - 236766 (Monthly)
∎ Salary according to level 13 of the internal MSF salary grid, which is 197,305 BDT gross. Two annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.
