• 8–10 years of practical experience in VAT & delivery in cement industry     
• Minimum 2–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
• Proven experience in handling VAT audits, hearings, and liaison with VAT authorities
• Strong knowledge of VAT Act, Rules & Regulations of Bangladesh
• Expertise in Mushak forms (Mushak-4.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 9.1 etc.), VAT return preparation, input-output coefficient, duty drawback, and source VAT deduction
• Ability to handle VAT-related disputes, hearings, and compliance issues
• Sound understanding of ERP/Accounting systems and other VAT related software
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and liaison skills with government authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Analytical and problem-solving ability for VAT-related discrepancies
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel to VAT offices, suppliers, and other locations as required
• Specialized training on VAT, Customs, and Supply chain preferred
• Strong networking ability with VAT consultants, advocates, and industry peers

Job Location: Danga Bazar, Palash, Narsingdi

• Supervise and manage all VAT and delivery-related activities of the company.

• Prepare and submit VAT price declarations (Mushak-4.3) and monthly VAT returns (Mushak-9.1) to the respective VAT offices/ VAT online.

• Maintain and monitor VAT registers including Purchase Register (Mushak-6.1), Sales Register (Mushak- 6.2), Price declaration (Mushak-4.3), VAT return (Mushak-9.1) and VAT Deduction at Source.

• Ensure timely deposit of net VAT to the Government treasury and maintain complete documentation of VAT records.

• Liaise with VAT Circle Office, Divisional Office, VAT Commissionerate, and Appellate Tribunal as required, including handling audits, inspections and hearings.

• Verify stock balances (finished goods, raw materials, warehouse stock) against VAT records and take corrective actions for discrepancies.

• Identify VAT errors, coordinate corrective measures, and implement preventive systems.

• Review systems and procedures regularly to ensure compliance with VAT rules and regulations.

• Provide technical VAT assistance to Finance and other relevant departments.

• Handle duty drawback and input VAT recovery checks for material transactions and exports.

• Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, Transport, Loading, QA, and Admin) to ensure smooth delivery operations.

• Maintain liaison with VAT authorities, consultants, advocates, suppliers and other industry VAT professionals for compliance updates and issue resolution.

• Prepare and provide VAT/statistical reports to authorities and company management as required.

• Oversee and ensure timely and efficient delivery of finished products from factory premises.

• Perform any other VAT or delivery-related tasks assigned by the management.
