Responsibilities & Context: Purpose
To lead and strengthen the commercial operations of Jamuna Paper Mills Ltd. by driving contract management, customer engagement, market intelligence, and revenue optimization. The Manager – Commercial will play a pivotal role in ensuring profitable growth through strategic planning, effective execution, and cross-functional coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies, pricing policies, and contract frameworks aligned with company objectives.
- Handle import/export documentation, LC processing, and coordination with banks and customs.
- Lead negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable commercial terms and minimize risks.
- Collaborate with finance and accounts for timely payment and cost analysis.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, profitability, and proper documentation.
- Analyze commercial performance indicators (sales revenue, contribution margin, cost-to-serve) and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and commercial agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to safeguard company interests.
- Prepare and review proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and long-term contracts.
- Drive pricing optimization, rebate structures, and discount policies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Provide market intelligence reports and competitor benchmarking to guide management decision-making.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of commercial records and support internal/external audits.
- Promote continuous improvement in commercial practices, systems, and customer engagement approaches.

- External: Bank, Customers, Suppliers, Contractors, Regulatory Authorities, Legal Advisors, Market Research Agencies.
