Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidates must have MSc in Agricultural / Agronomy / Plant Pathology/Horticulture / Ag. Extension and Education
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide proper guidance in the selection of appropriate block and land and justify the selected new block and land
∎ Deliver appropriate decision to the subordinate staff time to time to achieve the program goal
∎ Initiate proper steps to control quality of different classes of potato and maize seed at harvesting and seed distribution
∎ Supervise for ensuring quality seed production of different classes of seed potato and maize seed
∎ Monitor the activities of subordinates during the production of different classes of potato and maize seed
∎ Train and develop the subordinates by providing technical training time to time to improve capacity of team members
∎ Observe the activities of supervisees’ during GOT implementation of potato and maize seed
∎ Ensure checking the quality of potato seed, preserve it in different cold storage and prepare fort night report
∎ Communicate with supervisor according to program needs and submit different reports and other related documents timely
∎ Coordinate with SCA, BADC, TCRC, DAE and related NGOs
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have practical experiences in relevant field
∎ Have sound knowledge in modern technology, different classes of potato and maize seed production, budget preparation, planning and execution of the program, supply in the marketing chain, financial management, policy formulation, people management, seed preservation and processing in the cold storage
∎ Able to take decision about seed quality control and produce quality seed, provide technical training and prepare budget and report
∎ Should have skill in relationship building, prioritising. planning
∎ Have knowledge in MS office, internet browsing
∎ Have to work under pressure
